EDIT: Second pass under the cut, too!!

Opinions appreciated--

I started tinkering with a redesign concept for WTAW.  I know where I want to go with it from a graphical standpoint, just having trouble getting it to find its way out.  None of these graphics are set in stone, and I'm thinking of "pinstriping" around a lot of them in white.

I feel that the dots on the left are a bit overpowering. You can still keep that effect, but perhaps instead of white with dark blue, you could have the background blue be a lighter shade of the color? Or perhaps smaller dots. I know it's a dominant element in the web design, but it seems kind of compositionally jarring to me and distracting.

The logo at the top is my favorite part, I think it looks great. The positioning of the rectangles and the font works very well. I also like the color scheme a lot :D

Really digging the banner and it's simplicity - but it's very appealing to the eye.

I feel the text needs to be a bit farther away for the dot border, bout half an inch or so on both sides really - give it some margin.

I like that you're going with a solid color for your background but I need like it should be a bit of a lighter shade. The text could also use more padding on the left and right of it to better detach it from the dotted boarder and the Latest Portfolio Piece image.

Other then that, I like it. Especially the new top image. :3

Ohh! The second one looks so much better, I think. Definitely an improvement. I like the implementation of artwork into the layout. Looks nice!
